Truck Show Rundown
You know the saying: New year, new truck shows!
(Wait, are we the only ones saying that?)
2020 has arrived, and brought with it the first of many conventions and exhibitions related to the heavy-duty industry. These events often run for multiple days and are the places to learn about the latest innovations in the industry, as well as make new connections.
TMC
What is it?
Each year, the Technology and Maintenance Council (TMC) hosts thousands of professionals in the trucking industry. Educational sessions, forums, discussions, and exhibitions are just scratching at the surface of what you can do.
Where is it?
Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
When does it happen?
It runs from Monday, February 24th through Thursday, February 27th.
Why should I go?
For the food! Just kidding. TMC’s welcome letter describes it as “a celebration of technical leadership and innovation.” You’ll learn about new technologies, meet your peers, and learn what the year ahead holds for the trucking industry.
How do I attend?
Head over to the TMC website and hit “Register Now” to create an account and get everything in order online. You can also register the old-fashioned way by filling out a form (that’s a PDF, by the way) and mailing it in.
How much is it?
TMC and ATA members pay $675; non-members pay $975.
Midwest Truck & Trailer Show
What is it?
Billed as “the biggest little truck show in the country,” this event is where professionals from all over the industry meet to learn about new products and industry news.

How can I attend?
You’ll need to register in advance – you can’t purchase tickets the day of. You can register for the full convention (for one or two days) or for the meetings and seminars only. You can email or fax the forms. Registration is due by January 30, so get on it!
How much is it?
Pre-registration costs $185 for the full convention. The meetings and seminars only are $100 for each day.
