Announcing Fullbay’s Newest Investors, JMI Equity and Mainsail Partners
Hello everyone,
We’ve got some big, exciting news: JMI Equity is joining Mainsail Partners as investors in Fullbay.
Yes, it’s a big deal, and I’ve got more information for you, but first, let’s take a breath. I’d like to roll back the clock just for a minute, and spend a little time looking back at the ten years since Fullbay was founded that we’ve spent building the software solution for heavy-duty diesel repair shops.
We’ve watched a lot of milestones go by from the bright red cab that is Fullbay.
In 2015, we had our first beta customer sign up. By 2016, we’d added a customer in Canada and launched our inventory module.
Things moved quickly after that.
In 2019, Mainsail invested, which in 2020 allowed us to expand into Australia and launch both Fullbay Connect and our charity initiative, Fullbay Cares. By 2021, we’d released the first-ever State of Heavy-Duty Repair report, along with launching Fullbay Payments.
We celebrated 2022 by welcoming Dieselmatic, our marketing powerhouse, to the family. In 2023 we took things to a whole new level by hosting the first-ever Diesel Connect, a conference exclusively for heavy-duty diesel professionals. Attendees loved the first “DC” so much, we ran a second one in 2024—and aim to continue into 2025.
In between all those events, we’ve had additional product releases and upgrades, multiple editions of our industry report, and probably more coffee than could possibly be good for us.
In short, it’s been an extraordinary ride so far. We’ve hit a lot of milestones…but this latest one might be the biggest of all.
JMI is a perfect addition to the Fullbay family because they, like Mainsail, share our purpose: to create better lives for repair shops and contribute to safer roads for all of us. And with an equal partnership from Mainsail, they’ll together bring a considerable amount of experience and assistance to Fullbay, allowing us to deliver an even better shop management software.
You guys are probably wondering what this means for you.
Honestly, it means some exceptional things are coming your way. The entire world depends on heavy-duty equipment to function, and these partnerships will allow us to do so much more for the industry as a whole. Think of the combined partnership as putting the hammer down, to borrow some trucking slang. JMI and Mainsail have years of experience in helping companies grow and providing better products; their assistance and investment is going to help Fullbay produce the best tools and services available. You’ll run a safer, more profitable shop—a shop that will run just fine while you watch your kid’s baseball game or take a vacation.
In short, these partnerships are paving the way for us to make the lives of shop owners and employees easier—which in turn allows you to make better repairs, and keep the roads safer for everyone.
In the immediate future, we’re focusing on continuing the good work we’ve already started. Lots of wonderful things are coming down the pipeline. Buckle up: we’ll see you on the road.
